UNILORIN PORTAL A STUDENT GUIDE TO REGISTRATION

UNILORIN PORTAL: A STUDENT GUIDE TO REGISTRATION.

Starting life at UNILORIN? The online portal becomes part of your routine fast. Skip it and tasks pile up - no escape route exists. Accessing admission details, selecting classes, viewing grades - all live inside that system. Whether stepping onto campus for the first time or heading back after break, mastering navigation pays off quietly. Less stress waits on the other side of knowing where to click.

The Different Portals What Is What

Getting into UNILORIN means starting on a special page meant for applicants. That spot isn’t the same one current students use every day. A third place exists online for those doing advanced degrees. Newcomers go through the entry website first. After acceptance shows up, access shifts to where enrolled learners log in. Each group has its own space online. Moving forward comes with switching sites. Inside the building, postgrads get a spot that’s just theirs. To dodge confusion or delays, match your needs to the right gateway. What matters is picking the one built for where you are.

Post UTME registration opens for applicants

Starting with the UNILORIN portal often happens when you join the Post-UTME screening process. Once the school posts a notice online, that signals registration has begun - keep an eye out, since time runs short fast. Instead of waiting long, go straight to portal.unilorin.edu.ng. After landing there, choose the undergrad section before moving ahead. From that point, select Pre-Admission Screening Registration to proceed.

Start by having your JUMB registration number ready along with your last name. Before moving forward, make sure each detail matches when entering your O’Level data. Wrong entries? That’s it - rejection happens fast, without warning. Cash amount due tends to be 2000 naira, give or take. Payment rolls through Remita using either a Visa card or MasterCard. After payment, complete your personal details then get a printed copy of the screening form. Hold on to that paper - you’ll have to show it again before getting cleared.

Step Two Accept Admission on JAMB CAPS

Getting started at UNILORIN begins with one key step: accepting your offer through JAMB CAPS. Without that action, nothing else follows. The system will block further steps on the school’s portal until this is done. Completion here unlocks access ahead.

Once you enter your info on the JAMB site, locate CAPS and tap accept. Not until that step is done should you return to UNILORIN’s page to proceed further.

Acceptance Fee and Clearance

After accepting your offer via JAMB CAPS, head over to the UNILORIN undergrad site. Your username? That's just your JAMB number. For the password, type in your last name - it works right away. Right after logging in, a prompt shows up asking for a new password. Pick one that sticks in your mind easily. This login combo stays yours throughout your years there.

After that, look up whether your application went through then go over the statement you need to sign. Following this step, say yes to the school's offer for the program you applied to. The moment you do, hand in twenty-five thousand naira as a deposit. That payment is what holds your place there.

Once you pay, start gathering every paper they request. Your JAMB acceptance letter comes first, followed by O’Level scores, proof of birth, slips showing fees were paid - toss in whatever extra bits they name. Tuck them into one folder, lined up like train cars. This bundle gets checked later by both faculty and department staff. Approval must land before the next step unfolds.

Pay School Fees

Clearance comes first before any payment. Only then does the system allow course registration. Upon clearance, access your account online. Move to school charges there. Generate both the fee breakdown and the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) next. Use an ATM card directly for online transactions. Or take the printed RRR to a bank instead. Return to the portal once the money is sent. Check that the payment shows correctly. Finish by printing out the proof of transaction.

Course Registration Step Five

Signing up for classes matters more than it seems. Before doing anything, have a chat with your Level Adviser or Head of Department. Knowing the right courses and how many credits you need keeps problems away. Picking incorrect ones might cause headaches down the road.

Once logged in, locate the course registration area. There, browse through the selection of authorized classes matching your term and academic stage. Choose each subject carefully - verify both code and name along the way. After making all selections, send in your enrollment request. Then generate a printed copy of the initial registration slip. Bring that document to your assigned Level Adviser for sign-off prior to settling fees. Look, skipping this step is a bad idea. When unapproved classes go on your schedule, fees pile up - thanks to add or drop paperwork later.

After approval from your adviser, head back to the portal to review what you’ve picked before sending in your payment. Your last step? Grab a printed copy of the completed form - then you’re done.
